National team in the "28th Balkan Indoor Championships"
Athletes, coaches and support staff of our national team participated in the "28th Balkan Indoor championships" held in Istanbul, Turkey on February 10, 2024.
It should be noted that this championship, in which a total of 239 athletes, including 108 female and 131 male athletes from 21 countries, competed, is for a license for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
The results of our athletes by for events they participated in are listed below:
Yekaterina Sariyeva - triple jump: stopped the competition halfway due to injury
Rustam Mammadov - triple jump: 10th place / 15.28
Kasgin Abbaszada - long jump: 13th place / 7.07
Lamiya Valiyeva-400 m run: 8th place / 56.14 (new Azerbaijan National Record among U23 and adults*)
Alham Nagiyev - 60 m run: 16th place / 7.01
