March 5 is the Day of Physical Education and Sports. On this occasion, a sports parade was held today in Guba, the "Sports Capital" of our country. Before the parade, the leadership and staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Guba District Executive Power, as well as representatives of the sports community visited the monument of national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers in front of it. Later, a sports parade was organized at the Guba Olympic Sports Complex.

The event started with the National Anthem. After that, the dear memory of the martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Head of Guba District Executive Authority Ilgar Mahmudov, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov spoke and congratulated everyone on March 5 - Day of Physical Education and Sports and wished success in their future activities.

After the official speeches, the "Sports Ambassadors" of 2024 were presented to the parade participants. The parade organized simultaneously in the regions was shown online.

After that, a ceremonial parade was declared open in Guba. Athletics national team coaches, athletes and Executive Director of Azerbaijan Athletics Federation Kamal Ahmadov, federations of various sports, youth and sports administrations, athletes passed the parade.

The event continued with the artistic part. A solemn concert program was organized in the stadium of the complex. At the concert, interesting musical numbers performed by Mardan Band and Sabina Babayeva were welcomed by the participants with great enthusiasm.
